  • Research Interests:

Number Theory, including Analytic, Classical Algebraic, Combinatorial, Computational, and Elementary topics. I have particular interests in results associated with lattice points close to (or on) a curve or surface, the distribution of special sequences of integers in short intervals, and the irreducibility of polynomials over the rationals.

Preprints (for published papers see "Publications" at left):

[1] On an irreducibility theorem of A. Schinzel associated with coverings of the integers, with Kevin Ford and Sergei Konyagin, Illinois Journal of Math., to appear.
    Preprint: [ps] [pdf] Abstract: [gif]

[2] Classes of polynomials having only one non-cyclotomic irreducible factor, with Alexander Borisov, Tsit-Yuen Lam, and Ognian Trifonov, Acta Arith., to appear.
    Preprint: [ps] [pdf] Abstract: [gif]

[3] On testing the divisibility of lacunary polynomials by cyclotomic polynomials, with Andrzej Schinzel.
    Preprint: [ps] [pdf] Abstract: [gif]

[4] The irreducibility of the Bessel polynomials, with Ognian Trifonov.
    Preprint: [ps] [pdf] Abstract: [gif]

[5] On the factorization of polynomials with small Euclidean norm, Proceedings of the International Number Theory Conference in honor of Andrzej Schinzel, to appear.
    Preprint: [ps] [pdf] Abstract: [gif]

[6] An extension of a theorem of Ljunggren, with Ikhalfani Solan, Math. Scand., to appear.
