Seventh Annual Southeast Geometry Conference

Time, Location, and Parking

The Seventh Southeast Geometry Conference will be Friday May 17, 1:00PM-5:30PM and Saturday May 18, 9:00AM-5:30PM at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. If you are driving, the major interstates into Columbia are I-20, I-26, I-77. Here are directions to get to the visitor parking garage from I-20, I-26, I-77, and the airport. Here are coarse, fine and downtown Columbia maps and a campus map. The Columbia Metropolitan Airport is serviced by these airlines.

There is no registration fee and feel free to just show up. While it is not necessary to let the organizers know you are coming if they have a good partial head count it should insure there is enough coffee and munches.

All talks will be in Humanities Building, Room 202. Here are directions to the meeting room from the visitor parking lot, that is from the intersection of Pickens and Pendleton. The room is one of the university's new "Enhanced Classrooms". There is an Elmo Visual Presenter in the room: text written on paper can be projected onto the screen. There is also other equipment in this room; click here for information about the enhanced room.

Lodging

We have arranged for special rates at several local motels. All are within walking distance, the longest walk being about 15-20 minutes (from the Governor's House Hotel). Depending on what athletic events or concerts are playing locally rooms can be scarce during May in Columbia, so it is a good idea to make reservations as soon as possible. Of course there are many other hotels and motels in Columbia.
