Directions to Pendleton Parking Garage from I-26

If coming in on I-26 take the I-126 exit to Columbia. The left hand two lanes of I-126 become Elmwood Ave. Stay on Elmwood until it dead ends at Bull Street. Turn right on Bull and follow it until it dead ends on the University Campus at Pendleton Street. Turn left on Pendleton and go one block to the corner of Pendleton and Pickens Streets which is the location of the Pendleton Garage. The visitors' entrance is on Pickens Street. Here are coarse, fine and downtown Columbia maps and a campus map

The garage has parking meters: 25 cents will give 37 1/2 minutes. Parking is free after 4:30 on Friday and all day Saturday. A free visitor parking permit can be supplied by e-mailing the organizers at howard@math.sc.edu

To get the conference (Humanities Building, Room 202) from the visitor parking lot go up Pickens toward campus (South) keeping on the left (East) side of the street. About half a block after crossing Pendleton there is a small set of steps. At top of the steps the Humanities Building will be in front of you and slightly to your left. (On your right there will be a bridge over Pickens.) This is building number 55 on the campus map (On the map here it is just to the right of Pickens street. In person it is the shorter of the two tan Humanities buildings.) The numbering of rooms is so that Room 202 is on the third floor.
