competition for the student members of the chapter were
held in spring 2005. Participants were required to submit an abstract
(up to five pages) summarizing their research together with supporting
documents (reprints and preprints).The competition was judged by two
faculty members of the chapter, Dr.Lili Ju and Dr. Lincoln Lu, both from
the Department of Mathematics. The winners were announced at the end
of semester get-together on April 22, 2005.
