Mr. Matthews will administer weekly quizes over the assigned homework problems during the Tuesday-Thursday recitation sessions.
Prerequisites:
By placement or by a grade of at least C in Math 112 or Math 115.
Attendance Policy:
  This class meets five days a week (three lectures and two recitations). Attendance is expected in all classes and will be required according to the standard University policy.

Course Content:

Course will cover Chapters 2-6 of the text, omitting Section 4.5. The topics will include: limits and continuity; differentiation of functions, max/min methods, applications of the derivative to physical problems, curve sketching, and The Mean Value Theorem; antidifferentiation and integration; area, volumes, and applications of integration; The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.
Make-up Policy:
Make-up exams will be given only for documented reasons of illness or family emergency. Excuses such as forgetting the exam schedule, oversleeping, or being unprepared are not acceptable reasons for the approval of make-up exams.
