Week of February 27 - March 3

Homework to be handed in Tuesday, Feb. 28:
Section 8.5, numbers 4, 8, 24, and 29. Number 29 must show work to receive any credit.

The quiz Wednesday is on section 8.2, integration by parts.

Practice problems for Wednesday: Do the Trapezoidal and Simpson approximations for n = 4 for the integral, from 1 to 3, of 1/x dx. Also do quick check exercise number 4 in section 8.7.
Section 10.1: Finish Quick Check exercises, and do numbers 1, 5, 9, 11, 23, and 29.
Section 10.2: Quick check exercises, and numbers 1, 3, and 7.

Homework to be handed in Thursday, March 2:
Section 8.7, number 7 and the following problem: do Trapezoidal and Simpson approximations for n = 6 for the integral, from 1 to 7, of 1/x dx. You must show work on number 7 to receive any credit.

Week of March 13 - March 17

The next hour test is on Thursday, March 23, on Sections 7.4, 8.1 through 8.5, 8.8, 10.1 and 10.2.

The quiz Wednesday, March 15 is on Section 8.4.

    There is no quiz on Wednesday, to leave more time for reviewing for the hour test on Thursday (see above for sections of the book that are covered).

    Week of March 27 - March 31

    Quiz Wednesday on Section 10.3. You will be allowed to use any test you wish for convergence although Theorem 10.3.3 is enough.

    Hand in Tuesday, March 28:

  • Section 10.4, numbers 4b, 6d, 12, 16
