    Finals Week

The final exam for this course is Tuesday, December 6 at 2pm. It will be about as long as two hour tests, but you will be given the full three hours to take it.

There are envelopes outside my office with answer keys to some of the past tests and homework. Feel free to help yourselves. They are usually on the floor next to my office door, but sometimes the custodial staff puts them up on the red fire hose box.

    Office hours:
    Monday: 1:30 - 3: 30
    Tuesday: 12:30 - 1:30

The following sections contain examples problems similar to those that might be asked on the final exam: 1.3, 1.6;   2.1, 2.2, 2.3;   2.5;   3.1 through 3.8;   4.1 through 4.4;   5.1 through 5.5;   5.7, 5.8;   6.2 through 6.6;   6.7 and 6.8. Special stress will be put on the sections starting with 6.3 because they were not covered in any quiz or test yet. Otherwise your past hour tests and quizzes will give you a good idea of what to expect.

    Extra Credit

Extra credit problems are to be done strictly on your own, except that you are allowed to come to me for help on them. Extra credit problems are to be handed in at the beginning of classes. If you are late for class and have extra credit to hand in, put it on the table as you come in.

There is no due date, but once a fully correct solution is handed back, the problem is no longer eligible for extra credit. Problems crossed out below are no longer eligible.

If you can't quite get the solution but have some ideas, hand them in for partial credit and I'll have some hints for how to go on. I will keep adding to your score as you improve your work on it.
