First homework, due Tuesday January 22:

Section 1.1: do 1 a and b, finish 2 a and b, and do 2 c and 3 a c.
("finish" because some parts of 2 a and 2 b are answered in the back of the book).
Rewrite (=>) in the handout 1.2.14 using ^c notation. [This notation is explained on the bottom of page 3 of the textbook.]

Second homework, due Thursday January 24:

Finish the proofs of 1.2.15 and 1.2.16 on handout.
Section 1.2: do 1, 3 b c, and 5.

Section 1.2: 6 b d e omitting the finding of ranges, 8 (b)
