Prerequisite: Qualification through placement, or a grade of C or better in Math 141.
Text: Calculus: Early Transcendentals by Anton, Bivens, and Davis, 8th ed. (chapters 6, 7, 8, 10, 11)
Maple Labs: Each student is required to attend a Maple computer lab each week.
Attendance: You are expected to come to every class on time and stay until the end of class.
Cell phone policy: Turn off during class.

Work Load: There will be daily reading and homework (not turned in), weekly Maple lab assignments, at least 10 quizzes, 3 tests, and 1 cumulative final exam.

Grading:
 
Maple Lab: 65 points (Half of the recorded 130 Maple points from projects, quizzes, and attendance)
Quizzes: 100 points (10 best quiz scores worth 10 points each, based on the daily homework assignments)
Test 1: 100 points (Friday, February 4)
Test 2: 100 points (Friday, March 4)
Test 3: 100 points (Friday, April 8)
Cumulative Final Exam: 100 points (Thursday, April 28, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, LeConte 405)
TOTAL: 565 points

Note:Your final exam score (scaled appropriately) may replace either your Maple score, your quiz score, or your lowest test score.

Math Lab Tutoring: Free tutoring is provided by the Math Lab. Its schedule is 11am-4pm MTWTh in LeConte 101, and 6-8pm MTWTh in the Bates and Tower area dorms. However, the LeConte room # may change due to recent renovations.
