Now enter new data - Press [STAT]. Choose "Edit". Enter your 'x' values in column L1, and your 'y' values in column L2. HOW TO CALCULATE THE REGRESSION CURVE: ====================================== Press [STAT]. Choose "CALC" using the arrow keys. Choose which regression you want - "LinReg(ax+b)" gives the best fitting line to your data, "ExpReg" gives the best fitting exponential function to your data, etc. Press [ENTER] two times so that the calculator displays the formula for that best fitting regression curve. Write down the formula on paper. HOW TO SET UP YOUR DATA TO BE PLOTTED: ======================================= Press [2nd]-[STAT PLOT]. Press [ENTER] to use "Plot1". Choose On Type: the first of those 6 plot types (i.e., the dots) Xlist: L1 Ylist: L2 Mark: the box or plus sign work best (the dot is too small). HOW TO PLOT YOUR DATA AND THE REGRESSION CURVE: =============================================== Press [Y=]. Make sure that only "Plot1" at top of the screen is highlighted. To enter the formula for your regression curve at Y1=, you can either type it by hand or get it from the calculator directly by doing the following: Press [VARS]. Choose "Statistics". Choose "EQ" using the arrow keys. Choose "RegEQ". Now to get your graph, Press [ZOOM]. Choose "ZoomStat".
