  • Read the handout on probability density functions, cumulative distribution functions, medians, means, the exponential distribution, counting and Poisson processes
  • Read E-K pp 72-89
  • Work on E-K p 103 problems 4ab, 6bcd, 10
  • Step through the Maple worksheet blowflies.mws . Use this to figure out what the graphs Figs. 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 are all about (as printed they are quite misleading)
