Algebra and Logic Seminar

The Algebra and Logic Seminar, which meets regularly every Friday, is an informal research seminar for graduate students and faculty (but anyone is welcome). We usually select recent research topics broadly at the confluence of algebra, mathematical logic, computer science, and discrete mathematics and take turns doing presentations. Sometimes though, we find ourselves doing presentations of papers from, say, the 1930's. The seminar can be taken as MATH 890 for credit to satisfy requirements for the Ph.D.
