Student learning outcomes: There are two themes of this course. We will learn various techniques (substitutions, integration by parts, trigonometric integrals, and partial fractions) of integration, the concept of improper integrals, and the skills (disk and shell methods) to calculate the volumes of some 3D objects. The second part of this course is to study the convergence of sequences and series (integral test, comparison test, ratio test, root test, and alternating series test) and Taylor and Maclaurin series of functions.

I preserve the right to change the grading policy.

Attendance and Make-up test policy: I will take attendance every class. Absences in more than 10 percent of the classes can affect the final grade. No make-up quizzes for any reason.

Homework policy: Homework will be assigned and collected. I will grade it as soon as possible. We will discuss the homework problems every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.

Academic Honesty: Any student caught cheating in quizzes, tests, or final exams will receive an F for the course. I will refer the case to the Office of Academic Integrity.
