class will be done on a
All homeworks, quizzes
and tests are taken on a
Homework:
All Homework is generally assigned on the
first day of the semester. The
homework due dates are spread throughout the semester and are designed to keep
you on tract to finish the course by the end of the semester. Homework is generally due on Sunday
night at midnight (actually 11:59).
You can continue working on the homework assignment until all homework is
correct or the due date has passed.
This means that you can continue working on a problem until you can find
some help or figure it out yourself until to the due
date. So, it is
generally a good idea to start your homework early so that you have time to
focus on those problems which cause you the most difficulty. All of the Homework together is worth
20% of your grade. A
Non-Proctored Online
Quizzes: There a six non-proctored
online quizzes. You are allowed an
unlimited number of attempts until the due date on each quiz and your best score will be taken. Each non-proctored online quiz is worth
5% of your grade or the 6 Non-proctored online quizzes are 30% of your total
grade.
Proctored Tests: Three proctored tests
will be given during the semester.
The date and time of your tests depends on the course time and section
number for your class. You are
required to take each exam on the date and time given below for your section
unless you have made arrangements to take the test prior to the actual test date
on a normally schedule class day.

These tests will be given
online in the laboratory in LC102.
Please bring your USC ID to the test. You will not be
allowed to take the test without an USC picture ID or your drivers
license for identification. The
tests and final will be similar in nature to the non-proctored quizzes and
homework that you have already taken online. You have the option of taking any test
early on Mondays or Tuesdays during your normally scheduled class time in
LC102. Please notify your
instructor or TA at least three business days in advance of your intention to
take an exam early. You do not have the option of taking a
test late.
Please
note that NO extra credit work will be
assigned. You grade will be based solely on you homework, quizzes, tests, and
final. You may check your numeric grade at any
time during the semester by checking the gradebook in the left frame of your
course home page. You do have an
unlimited number of practice problems to use to improve your grades on tests and
quizzes. Your grade in this class
is left entire up to you and the amount of effort you put into the
class.
