MCM 2007 -- The Mathematical Contest in Modeling MCM is a contest where teams of undergraduates use mathematical modeling to present their solutions to real world problem. This contest challenges participants to clarify, analyze, and propose solutions to open-ended problems. It has attracted diverse students and faculty advisors from over 500 institutions around the world. The MCM will take place February 8--12, 2007. Any student currently enrolled in a four-year institution can participate. To participate in MCM, a team of at most three members must be formed and sponsored by a faculty advisor from their institution. The MCM contest allows up to four teams per institution, with a maximum of two teams per department. Each team that participated successfully will receive a certificate of participation after the results have been issued. For detailed information about the MCM 2007, please visit their website http://www.comap.com/undergraduate/contests/mcm/. We had students from USC who successfully participated in the past MCMs and performed pretty well.
