Quizzes
Quizzes will generally be given on Fridays. But the instructor
reserves the right to give them at any time.
There will be 20 topic quizzes throughout the semester. You must
pass each quiz with a 7 or better (out of 10). Along with new topic
quizzes, each week you will be given past topic quizzes that you have
yet to pass; each week the maximum grade for that quiz will be
reduced by 10%.
Example: Bill takes the first topic quiz and receives 8 points.
The next week he will not have to worry about this quiz; he will
only have to take the second quiz.
Example: On the other hand, Carol take the first topic quiz
and receives 5 points. The next week she will take the first quiz again
and the second topic quiz. She makes a 8 on the first quiz and a 9 on
the second quiz. In the grade book, she will receive a 7.2 (8 times 90%)
for the first quiz and a 9 for the second quiz.
