Web page for Math 122 (Calculus for Business Majors)
Tuesday, December 13th - Exams have been graded and grades have been posted on VIP. Have a good and safe holiday break.
IMPORTANT: FINAL EXAM - DECEMBER 8th at 2:00

Please arrive on time and be prepared for the exams. Don't forget your calculators.

The format of the final quizzes will be similar to your other quizzes. Since you will not have a chance to re-take these quizzes, the grading will be like those in your other courses where any grade from zero to ten is possible.

Exam Week News:

Dr. Lane,

I was wondering how much the final exam will account for our final grade.

Thank You,

Math 122 Student

Dear Students,

The final will be equivalent to two quizzes. One part of the final will be a quiz on derivatives and the other part will be on integrals. The final will stress applications of these concepts.

Good luck.

Exam Week News:

Math 122 Students,

I will be posting my responses to emails on the website this week. I will also be posting an outline of what to expect on the final quizzes. The topics were outlined on a handout that I passed out in class.

Some people will be taking Quiz 9 (Product Rule/Chain Rule), Quiz 11 (Normal Distributions), and Quiz 12 (Exponential Distributions). Everyone will be taking Quiz 13 (Applications of the Derivative) and Quiz 14 (Applications of the Integral). I outlined the specific topics on a handout that I passed out after the Thanksgiving Break. For the last two, I would start with looking over the section 4.3 and 5.4 in your book. I will post more about these quizzes later.

I will be having office hours at 9:00 on Monday and Wednesday of exam week. If you have a question about a particular problem, please work out the problem as far as you can. There are probably examples in your book that you can use to figure out how to start the problem.

Good luck studying for all your exams. The semester is almost over.

John Lane
