    Game plan for this week.
    • Tue 3/16. Double SI session from 6-8pm in Callcott 102.
    • Wed 3/17. Recitation over left-over questions. Quiz over Exam 2, first few problems. See Prof. Girardi's Previous Exams for the problems and sol'ns. If you do not make atleast a 50% on this part of the exam, then your total exam score will be only as many points was you managed to get on this part of the exam (and no more points!).
    • Wed 3/17. Calculus Jam Session in LC 311 (student lounge), starting around 6 or 7pm.
    • Th 3/18. Exam 2. Suggestions on How to Study for Exam 2
    • Th 3/18. No SI tonight due to the double SI on Tue.
    • Fri 3/19. Print off the above Taylor/Maclaruin warm-up handout and read it over carefully. Bring it to class on Monday 3/22, ready with your questions.

You are invited to join our class's study group, Calculus Jam Session. They are meeting twice a week
    • Thursdays at 6pm
    • Sundays at 8pm
in the student lounge LeConte 311, where there is WiFi. I have contacted the proper authorities and they will have campus police unlock the doors to LC on Sundays from 8pm-9pm for the remainder of the semester. Campus police usually unlocks a proper subset of all the doors. If all the outside doors to LC are locked, you should call campus police (non-emergency, 7-4215) and they will come unlock a door. There are security cameras throughout LC so please behave.

Suggestions on How to Study for Exam 1.
My game plan for the next few days is as follows.
    • Mon 2/8. Maple Lab 4. Formula Quiz (similar to Fall 09, Exam 1, Problem 1).
    • Mon 2/8. SI session. 6-7pm in SSC 4 (as ususal).
    • Tue 2/9. In-class Review for Exam 1!

      Integration Day:

one of the funnest calculus classes you will ever attend. Print off (now!) the infamous 100 Integral Handout that is posted on the Ch 7 homework page; for your convenience below are the 3 links you should print off from the Ch. 7 homework page: On the Ch 7 homework page there are also several pdf files with worked out solutions to all of them. It's your choice if you want to print these - there is WiFi in the classroom. Start (today!) working problems from this handout. In class on Integration Day, y'al will split up into groups of 4 and work throughs integrals from these handouts while the SI leader and I circulate the room and answer questions. Keep in mind: the best way to get good at integrating is to do lots of integrating!
    • Tue 2.9. Special (2 hr) SI Session 6-8pm in Callcott 102.
    • Wed 2/10. Recitation over 11.1. Review if time permits. The quiz will be a formula quiz.
    • Thurs 2/11. Exam 1 - in-class part.
    • Thurs 2/11. No SI since had a double SI Tues this week.
    • Fri 2/12. Take-home part of Exam 1 is due by 4pm and is to be slide under my office (LC 309C) door.

You class PIN is posted on BlackBoard under where grades usually are posted. It is a 3 digit number which helps Prof Girardi and the TA to quickly alphabetize the papers (the first digit is 3 or 4, depending on your section number, and the last 2 digits is your place on the roster within your section). In order to receive credit for an assignment, both your name (written legibly) and PIN must be on the paper. The in-class quiz on Tuesday February 2 will consist of one question: what is your name and PIN. Go look up your PIN and write it down somewhere you can find in class.

There is a Calculus Jam Session tonight at 7pm in the math dept Student Lounge LC 311. Come and work through homework with other students from our class. I think there is wifi in the room so if someone already has gotten an account with the Homework Solutions (see above under Sources of Help) and can bring their laptop, that would be great.
