    iterations with alpha=1/3,beta=2/3; choose mu_k and t_k by hand at each iteration.

    Use Matlab to implement the Newton's trust region method to find local minimizers starting at (4,0,1), (4,1,1) and (4,6,1).

  • Final Exam: Thursday, Dec. 13, 9 am, in usual classroom. 15-20 or so problems from any of the above sections.
