- Thursday 3/8/07: (i) Read through 8.6 and 8.7. These sections should help with some of your lab work. (ii) From 8.8 practice problems 1-33 odd, 39, 41, 43, and 49. (iii) A quiz over 8.4, 8.5, and 8.8 will be on Thursday 3/22/07. (iv) The next exam will be on Tuesday 3/27/07. It will be over sections 8.1-8.5, and 8.8.

(ii) Review for Exam II next Tuesday.(iii) In addition to the problems I have already given above, practice similar problems from the chapter review for chapter 8. (iv) Start reading chapter 10 for next week. These topics are much different than most of you are used to. They can be difficult. However, this is the most important chapter we will cover in this course.

- Tuesday 4/3/07: (i) Practice Problems 1-23 odd, 29 and 35 from 10.4. (ii) Quiz 6 will be next Tuesday or Thursday and will cover 10.1-10.3.
- Thursday 4/5/07: (i) Practice all problems from 10.5.(ii) The next quiz will be Thursday. It will cover 10.1-10.5 with emphasis on 10.3-10.5. I gave a detailed description of the quiz in class today.

- Thursday 4/12/07: (i) Exam III next Thursday over 10.1-10.6. (ii) Be able to compute the exact value for certain series(Geometric and Telescoping). (iii) Be able to determine if a series is Divergent, Absolutely convergent, or conditionally convergent. (iV) Be able to approximate a series by its partial sum and estimate the error.

- Thursday 4/26/07: (i) Prepare for final exam next Wednesday May 2 at 9:00 AM.(ii) Besides all the old quizzes, tests and previously assigned homework problems above, practice problems 6-9,11,13-16 from page 507, 1-11,13-34,47-53,55-68,70-73 from page 580, and 1-5,7-10,14-21,23,27-29,34 from page 714. (ii) Chapters 7.1-7.5: Be able to set up or set up and evaluate surface area, arc length and volume integrals. Chapters 8.2-8.5, 8.8:Be able to evaluate integrals using any of the methods discussed. Chapter 10.1-10.8: Be able to determine if a numerical series Diverges, converges absolutely or converges conditionally. Be able to find the Taylor series for a given function and determine the radius and interval of convergence. (iii) Extra Credit: Turn in all of the problems listed above for section 10.7 and 10.8. If it is NEAT and mostly correct, I'll drop your lowest quiz grade. Otherwise, no extra credit will be awarded.
