Exams: There will be three 1-hour exams announced well in advance of their date (tentative dates Feb.18, Mar.25, Apr.17). Each exam will be worth 100 points.  There will be no makeup exams.

Final exam: There will be a final exam worth 200 points on Wednesday, May 8 at 9 AM. All students must take the Final Exam.

Quizzes: There will be a ten-minute quiz almost every week. Each quiz will be worth 10 points. There will be a total of 12 quizzes. Your best 10 scores will be chosen to constitute a quiz grade of a possible 100 points. There will be no makeup quizzes. Any missed quiz will be the one that you drop.

Homework: There will be homework problems assigned but not graded. Quizzes will be based on homework problems.

Grading: You have a total of 600 possible points: 100 points for each of the three 1-hour exams, 100 points for the quiz, and 200 points for the Final Exam. You will be able to drop the lowest 100 points. The lowest 100 points may be one half of the Final Exam. This gives you a possibility of 500 points.
