Diffie-Hellman and beyond

ABSTRACT: Number Theory is the backbone of public key cryptography. We will discuss Diffie-Hellman key agreement and some improvements on it, and show how number theory and algebraic geometry can be used to give new cryptosystems and a deeper understanding of old ones.
