Problem of the Month
The Problem of the Month contest, which starts at the beginning of the academic year and runs through April, presents a new math problem on the 15th of each month.
The Problem of the Month bulletin board (near LeConte 101) posts the problems statements along with further details about the contest rules and prize information.
Once you solve the month's problem,
just drop your solution off in the
Problem of the Month Solution Box
in the Math Office in LeConte 411
(and sign in that you have done so).
The fastest solution each month will receive a certificate.
All who correctly solve the problem will receive recognition
on the Problem of the Month bulletin board.
The overall best problem-solver
will be invited to participate in the US National Collegiate Mathematics Championship during
MathFest.
For further information, see
Dr. Kaczkowski (LC 123).
