Abstract:

We begin by showing that the so called prefame operator yields an algebraic structure useful for computing dual frames of Gabor systems and inverting the frame operator in the critically sampled case. Next we use a normalized tight frame to produce an algebra for the oversampled case. We are able to use this structure to compute dual Gabor frames in the oversampled case without using the Zak matrices.
