The 19th High School Mathematics Contest at the University of South Carolina is scheduled for Saturday, April 9, 2005. All South Carolina high schools are cordially invited to participate. Our goal is to stimulate interest in mathematics among high school students and to recognize those who exhibit exceptional talent. At the conclusion of the contest, prizes will be awarded to outstanding individual participants and to winning teams. Prizes include a four-year full tuition scholarship, a four-year half-tuition scholarship, and a four-year quarter-tuition scholarship to attend USC.

Our itinerary for April 9th will be as follows:

 9:15 A.M.   Registration --- lobby of the Law building 
10:30 A.M.   Written Exam --- classrooms assigned on day of contest
11:00 A.M.   Review of Exam for Teachers --- Room TBA
12:00 P.M.   Lunch Break
 1:15 P.M.   Ciphering Contest --- Law Auditorium
 2:00 P.M.   Mathematics Tournament --- Law Auditorium
 2:45 P.M.   Awards Ceremony --- Law Auditorium
