Account Information

For general help with your accounts or hardware or software that will not start properly, e-mail help. Do NOT physically track down a computer assistant on your own.

Do not use this address to request help on the particular details of how software packages work!

Questions concerning whether the internet is down for the entire university can generally be answered at the CSD outage center (click on "System Outage Center" on the left-sid e menu).

You will need a special account to be able to login to the lab computers in LeConte. If you are in a class that requires you to have an account the professor will have made arrangements to have your account created for you. If you are a College of Ar ts and Sciences grad student you automatically get an account.

If the above situations don't apply to you and you still need to sign up for an account, you will need to fill out a form that can be downloaded here (you will need to fill out and print both pages) or you can pick it u p between offices 415 and 417 in LeConte on the 4th floor. Please return the filled out form to the box labeled "Completed Forms" between the offices 415 and 417.

There is a print quota of 500 pages per semester for students.

Please save any documents or files on the Z: drive. Saving them in My Documents will make logging on slow and there are no backups created from the My Documents folder.
