Meeting times: TTh 2:00 - 3:15 PM at 405 LeConte . Exams: There will be three 1-hour exams announced well in advance of their date (tentative dates Sept. 17, Oct. 24, Nov. 19). Any missed quiz will be the one that you drop. Maple: The topics of Modeling (Chapters 3 and 5) and Numerical Solutions (Chapter 9) will be connected with the use of the expert system computational algebra package Maple. Part of the classes that consider these topics will be held at LeConte 303 A. Tentative periods for these classes are Sept. 19-26, and Nov. 21 - Dec.3. Some Maple-worksheets and lessons can be found here. Homework: There will be homework problems assigned but not graded. Quizzes will be based on homework problems.
